The Wondrous Word of God
Have you ever started out a new year with the goal of reading, or memorizing, or studying God’s Word in a more intentional way (Oh that my ways may be steadfast in keeping your statues! Ps 119:5), and then found it difficult to maintain your pace throughout the year? Life inevitably grows more full, or a long genealogy comes round in your plan again. That difficulty to stay motivated often has a delight problem at its root. You might know that God’s Word is supposed to be full of wondrous things, but don’t desire those things like you feel you should.
This Sunday we will be beginning a short series in Psalm 119, which is all about the wondrous Word of God, and how we can grow in our delight of both God’s Word, and God himself. Join us on Sunday as we take a look at the first 16 verses of this beautiful psalm. I think you’ll be both challenged and encouraged by what God’s Word has to say about itself and, more importantly, about the Author. See you Sunday!
