Palm Sunday 2024
Have you ever tried to keep track of how many times you think about yourself in a day? If you haven’t, try keeping count today. It won’t be a pretty result.
Our text for Palm Sunday will be Philippians 2:1-11. In it, Paul instructs us to do nothing (NOTHING!) from selfish ambition or conceit, but instead, count others’ interests as more significant than our own. It’s a challenging instruction, because our human nature is far more obsessed with ourselves than others.
Fortunately, that isn’t where Paul ends. There is someone who lived a life of perfect humility. He gave up glory beyond what we can imagine to serve your interests by dying on a cross to rescue you and to bring glory to the Father.
Come on Sunday to hear more, and in the meantime, spend some time meditating on Philippians 2:1-11.
See you Sunday!
