Thanksgiving

If we want to flourish, we must make a habit of giving thanks. More specifically, we must make a habit of giving thanks to God. That’s how God has wired every human being.
Bad things happen when we deny God the thanks that He is due. We lose perspective. We naturally turn inward, and we forget the big picture. Long-term, neglecting thanksgiving leads down a perilous path (See Rom. 1:21).
What is a remedy for the disappointment and discouragement you are experiencing today? Give thanks to God, reminding yourself of who He is and what He has done.
Come on Sunday as we dwell on “thanksgiving” from the model prayer/song contained in Psalm 136. To whet your appetite, here’s a preview from verse 1: “Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good, for his steadfast love endures forever.”
See you soon,
Pastor Eric
