Fighting To Keep The Faith
Certain books in the Bible seem to garner lots of attention (Romans, etc.), while others are often overlooked due to their brevity. Jude is one that is easy to miss. Therefore, over the next two weeks, we will explore the treasures of this New Testament epistle, which was penned by the earthly brother of Jesus.
Jude longed to write a letter about salvation, but instead he felt compelled to call his audience to contend for the faith (v.3). This is because false believers had deceptively infiltrated the church. Throughout this little book, God provides a powerful warning and encouragement for us today. Between now and Sunday, I encourage you to read through Jude multiple times- it’s only 1 ½ pages and only 25 verses! This week I’ll be preaching on verses 1-19 and next week Pastor Jared will cover 20-25.
Praise God that no part of His Holy Word is insignificant or unimportant. I encourage you to come on Sunday with a prayerful expectation to hear from the King of Kings through this inspired text.
See you soon,
Pastor Eric
