Holy Week

This weekend marks the pinnacle of the Christian calendar. It is when we celebrate the most monumental events in human history. Today, on “Good Friday,” we remember the Son of God who died in our place. The events of Good Friday assure us of God’s unfathomable love for us. On Easter Sunday, we will celebrate Jesus’ glorious resurrection from the dead. This day assures us of the resurrection life that can now be ours. Both days magnify the triune God and lead us to bow before Him in worship.
Think afresh today of this amazing reality: sin and death have lost their power over your life because of what Christ has accomplished. We can walk in the newness of life, in the power of the Holy Spirit. Hallelujah, what a Savior!
Join us this evening at 6pm at the Crowne Plaza Hotel [1250 Roosevelt Rd, Glen Ellyn, 60137] as we retell the story of Jesus’ death from Mark 15:33-41. We will also celebrate communion together. Then join us on Easter Sunday as we dwell upon the resurrection of our King from Mark 16:1-8. If you know someone who is wondering who Jesus is, this is the perfect weekend to invite them to church.
See you soon,
Pastor Eric
